Green Beginnings

We all are in the same boat. Each one of us shares our environment with our families, our friends, our community. So what can we do to make things a bit better, a bit greener? This is the question that I asked myself after finishing college; how can I get into business while also affecting positive social change in our community? The answer: go green.

To some of us, going green can mean many different things: recycling, composting, donating our time and money. Truth be told, it’s an uphill battle. Any effort we make towards a better and cleaner tomorrow is dwarfed by pollution of our air, our waterways and precious ecosystems by massive corporations and unethical government practices around the world.

In Canada, we find ourselves very lucky in comparison to neighboring countries. We have the biggest fresh water supply in the world, with a beautiful countryside and massive sprawling wilderness. The “Great White North” indeed. This, however, becomes the issue: how do we preserve and protect the natural beauty of our lakes and forests for generations to come? How do we ensure that our children and their children have access to the same clean air? The same bountiful soil? The same lush plethora of trees and wildlife?

The answer starts with us. With you. With me. Right now.

Every single effort we make has an impact. Every decision we make as consumers can have an effect on tomorrow. That, my friends, is where EverGreen Window Solutions is born from. The belief that each and every consumer should have a choice, to contribute to tomorrow by supporting businesses which make an effort to preserve their environment and reduce the negative effects of unsustainable practices.

To this end, EverGreen Window Solutions plants one tree per customer in order to offset our carbon footprint and provide service that our customers can feel proud about. Additionally, EverGreen will be participating in carbon offset programs and various charitable causes in the seasons to come.

As the owner and founder of EverGreen Window Solutions, I want to make a difference. I want to embrace so-called “green practices” and make them commonplace. I want my customers to be proud to do business with us, and proud of themselves for making that choice. Every step towards a brighter future is well worth the effort, and we can take our first steps today.
